Dr. Rodriguez brings over 20 years of diverse experience in higher education, having held various faculty, staff, and leadership roles at both the college and university levels, including 15 years as a vice president. In addition to his executive and administrative expertise, he has served as a Full Professor of Education and an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. His transition to higher education followed a distinguished career in criminal justice.
Dr. Rodriguez has published extensively on topics such as criminal justice ethics, affirmative action, and discriminatory practices within the criminal justice system. He has also presented at numerous professional conferences, showcasing his knowledge and insights. His areas of expertise encompass research methodology, both quantitative and qualitative analysis, institutional research, strategic planning, academic operations, learning outcomes assessment, and curriculum development.
He is a graduate of the WASC Assessment Leadership Academy, Cohort VI. Dr. Rodriguez holds an Ed.D. in Learning Analytics from Northcentral University, an MA in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University, and a BA in Criminology and Criminalistics from Northeastern Illinois University. Additionally, he is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
