Substantive changes

substantive change is one that may significantly affect an institution’s quality, mission, scope, operations including primary methods of delivering programs, or control. A substantive change must be approved by the Commission, as applicable, before the change can be included in the institution’s scope of accreditation.

Non-substantive changes are those changes that require review and confirmation by DEAC staff prior to implementation but do not require prior approval by the Commission.
