Annual Report Updates

We are pleased to announce that plans are underway for a new, state-of-the-art annual report data collection portal! Launching in 2026, this portal will feature modern architecture, an intuitive user-friendly interface, and enhanced scalability to meet DEAC’s evolving requirements. Our goal is to provide a system that not only streamlines data entry but also empowers schools to strengthen their institutional effectiveness practices.

2024 ANNUAL REPORT SUBMISSION PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES

As we transition to this new platform, DEAC will be implementing a modified reporting procedure for the 2024 annual report. While this temporary approach may differ from previous years, it will allow us to gather the necessary information effectively and ensure a smooth transition to our forthcoming system upgrade.

DEAC staff will email each institution a custom spreadsheet for the 2024 annual report. The institution must complete each tab of the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet tabs will require institutions to provide data on state authorization, enrollment, completion rates, and will have sections for narrative and general information on the institution. Completed spreadsheets must be uploaded securely to Dropbox using this link or emailed directly to Jessica.lucey@deac.org. The 2024 annual report must be submitted no later than March 31, 2025.

DEAC strongly encourages every institution to register for a free 30-minute appointment to meet with Dr. Ray Rodriguez before completing the annual report. Dr. Rodriguez would like to work individually with institutions on data validation efforts to ensure accurate determinations of student cohorts before submitting the annual report. A Calendly invite will be included in the email you receive from DEAC staff with your institution’s 2024 annual report spreadsheet so that you may schedule your consultation. FINANCIAL INFORMATION

There is no financial tab on the 2024 spreadsheet. Institutions will fulfill the requirement to provide financial information via the submission of audited or reviewed financial statements. As a reminder, if your institution’s fiscal year ends between July 1 – December 31, your financial statements must be submitted via email to Jessica.lucey@deac.org by June 30, 2025. If your institution’s fiscal year ends January 1 – June 30, your financial statements must be submitted by December 31, 2025. Please contact Jessica.lucey@deac.org if you have any questions.

Please note: 2024 is the last fiscal year for which DEAC will accept reviewed financial statements. The Commission has established a special implementation timeframe for the submission of audited financial statements and compliance with Standard XIV.A: For institutions with fiscal years ending between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, audited financial statements are due by December 31, 2025. For institutions with fiscal years ending between July 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, audited financial statements are due by June 30, 2026. In both cases, the Commission is waiving the requirement for comparable statements and accepting audits of one fiscal year. Future submissions of audited statements must be prepared on a comparable basis.
